<title>Get more visibility with your profile!</title>
  <link>http://www.fineartguild.com/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=3</link>
  <description>Hello, Everyone.

As we watch the site grow slowly but surely with new members we have seen some really great art. But I have also noticed a lot of empty profiles.

Your profile is the best way to gain visibility to your work. With an empty profile none of us really know you are even here.

Assuming exposure is one of the reasons you have joined the Guild, an empty profile is counterproductive. Tell us about yourself, why you do what you do, what drives you to create, upload a few images into your own gallery page.

Perhaps you are not very experienced and a little hesitant to show your work. That is understandable as we have all felt that way. However, this is a site or amateurs and professionals alike. Making fun of or putting down of other members work will not be tolerated here. We at FineArtGuild.com want this to be a site where members can seek as well as share what they know without ego or &quot;trade secret&quot; attitudes getting in the way.

We do understand that the site layout may be a little hard to get used to at first but as you look around it definitely becomes more obvious as to how it works.

Adding your website to your profile is also highly recommended. But please, do not use your website as the only way to view your work. Upload some images into your profile in FineArtGuild.com to make people want to go to your site to view more.

If you have just had difficulty understanding how to start an album here are step by step instructions

1 - Sign into your account

2- Go to &quot; My gallery&quot; below the word&quot;Personal&quot; in the &quot;May account tools&quot; section at the top left of the page.

3- Go to &quot;Create/order my albums&quot; in the &quot;Photo gallery tasks&quot; section at the top left of the page.

Next there is a box for text to be placed into with the words&quot;New album&quot; to the right of it.

4- Type the name of your album in that text box

5- click on&quot;New Album&quot;.

This will create the new album.

Next,to place images into the album you just created...

1- Click on &quot;upload picture&quot; in the &quot;Photo gallery Tasks&quot; section at the top left of the page.

This will take you to the image upload section

2- select the folder you want the image to go in to.

3- Click the browse button to browse through your computer files to find the image you want to upload.

4- Double click that image file name.

This will bring the image file into the text box next to the &quot;Browse&quot; Button.

5- Give the image a title if it has one.

6- Give a description of the image if you choose to.

7- type keywords into the keywords text box. Keywords such as the medium(painting, photograph, sculpture, etc.),the style(Abstact, nature, landscape, etc.) and any other descriptive word that may describe your image. Models could use &quot;Model&quot; as one key word, then the type of photograph it is, such as &quot;portrait&quot;, &quot;Nude&quot; and so on. Photographers could do the same, only adding photographer instead of model as one of their keywords. These keywords will be used to lead members to your images from the search features, leading to more visibility for you.The more descriptive the keywords are, the easier people will find your images.

8- Ignore the second &quot;Title&quot; box as that is an error and that will be removed.

9- Put in the copyright information such as your company name and year of creation if you are the artist who created what is in the image, or the artists name and year of creation if you are a model.

10- Click on upload image.
This will automatically upload the image into the new Album.

You may get a message stating that your image will be uploaded as soon as it is approved. However, at this time approval is automatic. So, your image will go immediately into the album you selected to upload it in to.

Ok, so now you have no excuses for having an empty profile. We look forward to seeing your work!</description>
